Our Alpacas
Accidentally on Purpose
DOB 14/07/2017
Colour: Light Brown
‘Accidentally’ is a very pretty girl, with a very calm nature. She is a very sociable alpaca within the herd, and can always be found in the middle of the group, surrounded by all of her friends. She loves her food and is normally very quick to come and say hello when a handful of treats are available. She is compact in height, but not in width, and her love for food is shown in her chunky belly!
Belle of the Ball

Colour: Light Fawn
‘Belle’ is a stunning girl, and boy does she know it! She’s by far one of the most cheeky alpacas on the farm and uses her beauty to get away with it! Whenever our staff are trying to do any jobs, Belle insists on being involved, whether it be stealing pens out of their hands, pinching paper from the clipboard, or knocking over bottles of vitamins. Despite her mischievous ways, she is incredibly friendly and confident and enjoys being the center of attention in any situation. She can usually be found right next to the hay, getting all of the best bits! Belle hasn’t had any cria yet, but she has shown a keen interest in the boys and has had plenty of 1-on-1 dates with our handsome studs, in preparation for a future baby!
Lucinda Morag

Colour Light Fawn
Lucinda Morag is easily spotted in the crowd, peeking out from underneath her enormous mop of hair! For this reason, she 100% wins the award on the farm for ‘Fastest Growing Top Knot’, which requires a trim by the team every few weeks - she’s a very pampered girl!
Lucinda is the daughter to our award winning female ‘Balm’, meaning she has great genetics which we hope to see passed down through her progeny.
Like the other girls, she adores her food and is very happy to eat from your hand, between mouthfuls of delicious hay and grass.

Picture Perfect

Colour Dark Fawn
Picture Perfect, is a very popular alpaca here with our guests. Known lovingly as ‘Beasty’ by our staff, she truly is a gentle giant. She fully lives up to her name and is most definitely the Charnwood Forest Selfie Queen - posing perfectly as soon as any camera is on her! She loves to be involved in any situation that arises, and will always go out of her way to place herself into center stage! Although alpacas are not naturally cuddly animals, Picture Perfect is renowned for rubbing herself up against you, demanding all of your attention. She is a wonderful babysitter and ‘Aunt’, and although she has no babies of her own, she does a wonderful job keeping an eye on the little ones, lending the other mums a helping hand.
Japura

Japura is the newest member to our adoption team. Although she is the youngest of the bunch she isn't shy when it comes to introducing herself to any new person, or alpaca.
Her curious, tilted head is her signature look - paired with her perfectly dainty face, she loves to make sure she knows exactly what is going on in her field at all times - especially where snacks are involved.
Japura has one of the best quality fleeces we have currently on the farm, so we are incredibly excited to see how she continues to grow and develop - we may have a future award winner on our hands!
Time & Tide

Colour White
Time & Tide is an easy going girl, who loves nothing more than spending her days with her friends - grazing and relaxing. Her favourite activities include munching on whatever snacks are available, sun-bathing her days away throughout the summer months, and having a quick splash around in the water trough to cool down, once she’s had enough of the heat.
She has given birth to 2 stunning boys, Notus (2018) and Colorado (2019) and is a really affectionate girl with great maternal instincts, who we hope will continue to produce some more lovely cria in the future.
Hera

Colour True Black
Hera is our little Charnwood Forest miracle, who was bottle fed from a very young age. Due to this, she's very trusting and brave around humans, and is usually happy to come and say hello!
Although she was quite a lively, headstrong baby, Hera has developed into a very mellow girl, with an abundance of charisma!
She adores her food, and can usually be spotted in her field with her friends, with a big mouthful of delicious green grass - that is until she spots the boys! Hera is a massive flirt, and if the boys are in sight, she is guaranteed to be strutting her stuff up and down, showing them what they’re missing!
Ring the Changes

Colour White
The most placid alpaca you could ever wish to meet, Ring the Changes is a real delight to be around. She has a very pretty face, with big dark eyes and a beautiful smile - perfect for snapping away selfies with. Her beauty is matched by her brains; so much so that she required no training at all when it came to being walked with a halter and lead!
‘Ring’ is also very well socialised and has attended many weddings and events over the past few years, making more and more people fall in love with her.
Ring The Changes gave birth to her very first baby in may 2021 TO A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL CALLED DELPHINUS!
Savannah
DOB 24/06/2015
Colour Bay Black
Savannah is the daughter to our wonderful Black Stud ‘Storm Cell’, and definitely inherited his gorgeous looks. She is naturally a very curious animal, and rarely shies away from coming to introduce herself and see what treats you might have hiding away from her. With Savannah, food definitely comes first, and if she isn't in the grassiest patch in the field, she is right in the middle of the crowd, around the manger, with a mouth full of the freshest hay.
SHE HAS HAD TWO BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRLS, called Thetis (2019) and Halley (2021), both of whom she passed on her perfectly fluffy head and face to!
