Alpaca walking is great for those of you wishing to try an activity of a different nature, that takes you away from the hectic hustle and bustle of urban life.

Throughout December our Alpacas will become Reinpacas!

£35 per person

What is Included?

90 minute experience learning about, meeting and walking our animals (including a 15 minute health and safety talk)

Guidance and support from our experienced alpaca guides

Discount off a hot drink in our Chilli Bean Kitchen

We have planned our walks so that they suit a wide variety of visitors. There are steep inclines on the walks, which some people may find difficult.

Upon arrival you will be signed in at our PukkaPaca shop, where each member of your party will receive a wristband. Make sure you load up on bags of alpaca feed for 50p each, as the alpacas love their food! You will also be given your discounted tea or coffee voucher for use in the Chilli Bean before / after your experience.

At the start of your experience, your guide will collect you from the yard for a quick health and safety briefing with some alpaca facts, before demonstrating how to lead your alpaca. Once you have been partnered up with your new alpaca chum, your trekking experience will begin! Don't worry, there will be plenty of allocated time for pictures and alpaca selfies!

What do I need to bring?

Suitable clothing and footwear (sun cream and hats for sunny days, waterproofs and wellies for wetter days).

Small change is always handy if you wish to purchase alpaca feed (50p per bag).

Adult companion if required
(see below).

16-17 years old - ticket required (*does not need to be accompanied by a paying adult (18+) but cannot have responsibility for anyone under 16 years of age)

Every paying ticket holder attending the experience must walk with an alpaca. This includes all ages and abilities. We cannot allow spectators on the experience.

When bringing young children, adults must feel confident that their child will be able to walk the whole distance of this experience. For very young children, we would advise bringing a sling or baby carrier, as we cannot authorise pushchairs on this experience (see the Accessibility section in the Terms & Conditions below).

We advise you to check the local forecast so that you are prepared for all weather conditions before setting off.

How do I book?

We have three options available:

If you have already purchased an online voucher, this will take you to our booking calendar where you can redeem your voucher and book your experience.

This will take you straight to our booking calendar where you can book and pay for your walk experience.

If you haven’t decided when you want to visit yet, or want to buy a gift voucher for someone special, our Walk with Alpacas e-vouchers can be purchased in our online shop.

Don’t forget to log onto our Facebook page and share your experience photos with us.

90 Minute Walk - Terms and Conditions

Accessibility - This experience includes walking to, and going into a field that may be rough, bumpy or muddy. We cannot authorise wheelchairs, pushchairs or walking aids on the experience for these reasons.

All of our walks require a degree of physical fitness. You will have to be able to walk unaided for between 30 and 90 minutes. If you are unable to do this, we would advise that the walks would be unsuitable.

Experience Numbers - All experiences require a minimum number of attendees. If this minimum number is not met, we reserve the right to reschedule your booking to the next available slot.

Signing in and Wristbands - Upon arrival, please sign in at our Pukka Paca Shop. You will receive a wristband which is colour-coded to your experience. Every attendee must wear their wristband throughout the experience. Loss, damage or failure to present a wristband will unfortunately mean you cannot take part in your experience.

Umbrellas - These cannot be taken on our experiences. Rain ponchos are available to buy in our shop.

Alpaca walks are a wonderfully alternative way of experiencing the Leicestershire countryside with our animals.

You’ll definitely want to take one home with you afterwards!
