Our horse riding experience with afternoon tea for 2 at Charnwood Forest is suitable for adults, children, beginners and experienced riders alike, it’s a great way to celebrate a special occasion or to simply enjoy all that the Leicestershire countryside has to offer. After all the fun of the horse trek you will be more than ready for your afternoon tea platter served with a cup of tea or coffee in The Chilli Bean.

This experience is for two people, making it the perfect activity for couples, friends and parents with children. During your time at Charnwood Forest with our horses, you will be assisted by our experienced handlers who will help you to make the most of your time here whilst building a bond with your horse and enjoying the ride. Following the introduction, you will then take part in a 50-minute session of off-road hacking, accompanied by your handler, around our 110-acre farm. Hacking is a term given to the light exercise that is given to horses, so you can rest assured that the ride won’t be too challenging or vigorous. Instead, it’s an opportunity to enjoy the countryside and get a taste of what horse riding has to offer. There will be plenty of photo opportunities along the way so you can look back on your visit and the memories you made.

Please note that this experience is geared towards those with limited or no riding experience. Trotting is therefore at the discretion of the trek leader and weather dependent
